max's is one of my very favorite things about our neighborhood. this family-owned ice cream shop is run by max & his wife, and they are the only two employees. he makes the homemade ice cream fresh in the store, and has all kinds of unique flavors that you won't find anywhere else. he also switches the flavors out by season. so you can find delicious pumpkin in the fall, peppermint stick in the winter, etc.

i am partial to oreo, pistachio & the chocolate raspberry.
over the past few weeks, i've been relying on to-go pints of max's to get me through the horror that is packing. the process may be never-ending, but it seems a little better with some max's chocolate-raspberry breaks.
i also may occasionally eat ice cream for dinner when ww is traveling....
