Holy Thursday of the Passion of Our Lord, AD 2012

Brethren, today we remember once again that first Eucharist in which the Master himself celebrated on a simple table what was to take place the next day: the Sacrifice of his Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity for our salvation. On that table of his Last Supper, he was the Lamb of God whose Passover sacrifice moved us away from sin and toward communion with God. On the Cross, he was the evening sacrifice, the holocaust that sealed with his Blood our peace with God and with each other.

During a recent meeting in Washington, DC attended by a few thousand atheists bent on hatred and scorn toward God, his Christ, and his Church, Neo-Atheist evangelizer Richard Dawkins invited his hearers to mock Christians and Christianity, and Catholics in particular:

“For example, if they say they're Catholic: Do you really believe, that when a priest blesses a wafer, it turns into the body of Christ? Are you seriously telling me you believe that? Are you seriously saying that wine turns into blood?” (Source)
Yes, I do, by a change the Church calls "transubstantiation", the substance of the bread and wine are changed into the Body and Blood of Christ, and since He's live, also his soul and divinity, only the outer appearances - their chemical make up - remaining.

This is what makes our Mass an actual participation in the One Sacrifice of Christ in the Cross, what makes that first Eucharist, and all other Eucharists throughout time and space, one and the same with each other - a little explored aspect of general relativity in respect to "time." This participation can be yours again, Dr. Dawkins, and for all who follow you under the banner of "science" if you were to open your eyes and your hearts to the Reality who gives us the beautiful universe you often rhapsodize about. It's still not too late for you, but soon it will be.

In the meantime, the simple ones will receive tonight, and many other nights and days, the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, praying for your conversion and that of the whole world.
