US Bishops Now Offering Prophetic Leadership

Brethren: Peace and Good to all of you.
A short note to invite you to read an essay by R. Michael Dunnigan, entitled The End of the Age of Distraction over at the Catholic World Report.
In his essay, Mr. Dunnigan analyzed decades of ill-conceived declarations emanating from the US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) or their staffers (as if they had been approved by the USCCB). Then he tells us about the turning point, their recovery, and about the time we nowwe find ourselves, a time in which our bishops appeared to have found their prophetic voice.
I've been tracking these issues closely since 2004, when I started this blog (see this blog's USCCB tag) and I have seen the change myself. I welcome this new consciousness in the USCCB which it turn is giving me realistic, orthodox guidance to act responsibly as a Catholic layman.
Let us pray for our bishops: may they all be the shepherds the Lord wants them to be. Thank God for them!
