while my cousin moria was visiting this weekend, we rented bikes from dc's capital bike share and took a ride through georgetown, along the potomac river, past the monuments, and ended up at eastern market, for a final sunday at one of our favorite dc spots. we were up early before the tourists were out, and it was a rare cool morning in august. after strolling through eastern market & visiting our favorite vendors one final time, we had breakfast at the bar at ted's bulletin (where they make homemade poptarts... no kidding). biking along the potomac river is probably the best way to experience one of dc's most beautiful views, and we had so much fun doing this together.
when we left breakfast, we realized it was only noon and we had already accomplished four bucket list items: bike ride on potomac, eastern market, monument visits, and ted's bulletin. thanks to moria for motivating us to get things done on our last weekend in dc!
