ww went to college here, so it holds a special place in his heart.
this was also the place he took me for our first out-of-town date when we first started dating... for a concert in which he made me stand for 4+ hours.... but that's a story for another time.
since then, we have gone back more times than i can count, and have wonderful memories of visiting uva's campus, wine tasting, seeing concerts & weddings, the fall leaves and, of course, eating together in cville.
being a 2 hour drive from this little city will be something we miss the most about living here.
ww was bummed that we hadn't fit in a last summer trip to cville before moving.
knowing it will be much harder to visit once we're in texas, i decided to surprise him with a one-night getaway this weekend, a "last hurrah" in his college town.
i put a lil booklet together of all his favorite cville things & made a checklist of places to visit one last time.

i presented him with the book when he so sweetly came to pick me up from work on friday.
he was completely surprised and so excited.
surprises are really not my strong suit... ww is actually the master at planning surprises around here.
i have too big of a mouth, and get too excited about my secrets to actually keep them. so i impressed myself by not letting this one out of the bag all week.
