we are spending this week in basel, switzerland, after eight days of nonstop travel. it feels nice to unpack a suitcase and have a home base for a few days! basel is a charming swiss town that shares a border with both germany and france. it has a quiet, old-world feel that is quaint and refreshing.
you can walk nearly everywhere here, and i have loved wandering through the quiet cobblestone streets and discovering hidden shops and cafes, while also visiting the cathedrals, museums, and especially the marktplatz.
