Brethren, first, some family news. My youngest grandson is recovering very fast from his major surgery three weeks ago. If you were to see him today you would be unable to say that he had such major surgery. He is as active as any year-and-a-half should. To those who knew that my elderly father was also under major duress, I report to you that he has recovered and is now undergoing therapy. Thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts.
These events necesitated that I returned home from the Outremer to be with my family and support my stressed-out wife. I was also to rest a bit after 6 months of military duty non-stop.
I am now back in the Outremer, just in time to attend the departure ceremony of our 30 servicemen who recently gave their last measure of devotion in the mountains of Afghanistan. I want you to know that they are all heroes, to every last man and dog. Men of every religion or none, Muslims included, have shed their blood to defend our freedom and they deserve our everlasting honor and respect.
Let us pray for their eternal rest, may the everlasting light of God shine upon them, forever, Amen. May the Lord also comfort their families in this very difficult hour.
The Lord Jesus commands us to love our enemies, to pray for them and bless them. I hereby do so now. I pray that they see the light, that they repent and convert, and become a force for life and not death, for peace and not war. Their reconciliation has become urgent for them because I suspect the killers will not last this year and will soon face their judgment before Almighty God.
I ask for your prayers for those of us left here, for our safety, and for the success of our most worthy enterprise, Operation Enduring Freedom.
